Meet the founder
Before founding The Hair and Beauty College, our founder spent years as a red-carpet hair, make-up and styling artist — creating looks for Victoria Beckham, Coleen Rooney and Atomic Kitten, and working The Brit Awards, the MTV and MOBO Awards, and TV sets including Hollyoaks and Emmerdale. Every course here is built on that experience — taught by people who’ve worked at the top of the industry.

Frequently asked questions
What qualifications do I need to enrol?
For most of our Level 2 courses, you don’t need any prior qualifications – just a passion for hair and beauty! We welcome complete beginners aged 16 and over. For Level 3 and advanced courses, you’ll ideally need to have completed a Level 2 qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience in the industry. We assess each application individually, so if you’re unsure about your eligibility, contact us for a free consultation. We also offer English and Maths support if needed.
How long are the courses?
Course length varies depending on the qualification and the route you choose. The duration, start date and weekly schedule for each course are shown on its individual course page.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Our funded Diplomas can be taken with £0 upfront through an Advanced Learner Loan – you only start repaying once you earn over £27,295 a year. For all other courses we offer flexible options including in-house instalments, interest-free splits, Payl8r, and payment by card or bank transfer. See our Funding page for full details.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes. We are an approved centre for VTCT and Focus Awards, and a CPD-approved provider. Our qualifications are nationally recognised and awarded by these bodies, so they are valued by employers across the hair, beauty and aesthetics industry.
What career support do you provide?
We support you well beyond the classroom – with real salon experience on paying clients, portfolio building, and guidance on CVs, interviews and moving into employment or self-employment. Many of our learners secure work before they even finish their course.
