Frequently asked questions
Entry requirements
We assess every applicant on their potential, not just their paperwork. A Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification is preferable but not essential — equivalent industry experience or transferable skills can be just as valuable. Applicants should be aged 19+ on the first day of the course. Access to a laptop or tablet is preferable, so you can complete your enrolment and any funding paperwork online before you start. How long is the course?
20 weeks of one college session per week, plus a mandatory minimum of 6 Community Salon sessions on real, paying clients from Week 5 onwards (up to 15 available). Live-client work runs throughout the course, supported by practical observation on real clients, written assignments, online theory exams set by VTCT Skills, and a portfolio of evidence built across all units.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Our funded Diplomas can be taken with £0 upfront through an Advanced Learner Loan — you only start repaying once you earn over £27,295 a year. For all other courses we offer flexible options including in-house instalments, interest-free splits, Payl8r, and payment by card or bank transfer. See our Funding page for full details.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes. This is a VTCT-accredited Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments (delivered at HBC as Beauty Therapy Treatments with Electrotherapy), delivered at our centre in Warrington.
What career support do you provide?
You’ll graduate as a senior beauty therapist able to work in clinical-tier salons, day spas, hotel spas, or run your own mobile or salon-based business. The Level 3 is also the prerequisite for our Level 4 Advanced Beauty Therapy progression and unlocks aesthetics-tier insurance.
Do I need my own kit?
No — all the equipment and products you need are provided in-house, so there’s nothing to buy to get started. It’s preferable to have access to a laptop or tablet, so you can complete your enrolment and any funding or loan paperwork online before you start.
