Important notices about the information on this site.
This page sets out important disclaimers covering the thehairandbeautycollege.co.uk website, our courses, treatments delivered on our salon floor, and any third-party content we link to.

1. About The Hair and Beauty College
This site is operated by The Hair and Beauty College Limited(company number 16387627, registered at 78 Bridge Street, Warrington WA1 2RF, ICO registration C1756707). We’re a beauty and aesthetics training college approved by VTCT(approved centre 4841/000), Focus Awards, and The CPD Group.
Where this disclaimer says “we”, “us”, or “HBC”, we mean The Hair and Beauty College Limited.
2. Educational purpose
This website and the courses we run exist to teach skills. They are not:
Medical advice — if you have a skin, hair, or scalp condition you’re worried about, see a GP or dermatologist. We can’t and won’t diagnose anything from a website page or a salon-floor consultation.
A guarantee of employment — completing a qualification with HBC is a meaningful credential, but employability depends on factors beyond our control (your portfolio, interview performance, the local job market, your business plan if going self-employed). We don’t promise a job at the end of any course.
A guarantee of business success — many of our learners go on to run their own salon, mobile, or chair-rental business. That outcome depends on your own business decisions, not the qualification alone.
Where we cite outcomes — average earnings, success rates, employment numbers — we’ll say where the figure comes from and the year. Where we don’t cite a source, treat it as a reasonable estimate, not a verified statistic.
3. Treatment outcomes
Treatments delivered on the HBC salon floor or in the medical suite are part of our students’ training and are supervised by qualified tutors. Even so:
Individual results vary — your hair texture, skin type, medical history, lifestyle, and the treatment you’ve had all affect the outcome
Some treatments are not suitable for everyone — your tutor will brief you on contraindications before each session and may decline to proceed if it’s not safe
Aesthetic treatments at Level 4+(microneedling, peels, mesotherapy needle-free) carry risks even when delivered correctly. We’ll explain risks before any session and ask for your written consent
Photographs in our gallery, marketing, or learners’ portfolios show specific treatments delivered to specific people. They don’t predict the result you’ll get
If you’re a model in our Model Group, you’ve already accepted that practice treatments take longer than commercial salon work and that outcomes can vary while a student is learning. Our insurance covers corrective treatment at no cost to you if anything goes wrong — see Section 14 of our Terms and Conditions.
4. Qualification recognition
We are an approved centre for VTCT, Focus Awards, and The CPD Group. The qualifications we deliver are accredited by those awarding bodies, and certificates are issued by the awarding body, not by HBC.
A few things to know:
HBC doesn’t issue certificates — we run the training and the assessments; the awarding body issues the qualification once you’ve passed
Recognition outside the UK varies — if you plan to work abroad, check whether the host country recognises your UK qualification before enrolling. We can’t speak for foreign regulators
CPD-accredited courses are continuing-professional-development credentials, not Ofqual-regulated qualifications. They demonstrate ongoing learning to insurers and employers but are different from Awards, Certificates, and Diplomas
Insurance recognition — most UK insurers recognise VTCT and Focus qualifications for treatment liability purposes; CPD-Group accreditation is widely accepted but check with your specific insurer before practising on paying clients
If you have any doubt about whether a qualification will let you do the work you want to do, ask us before you enrol — we’d rather steer you to the right course than enrol you on the wrong one.
5. Limits of liability
Our full liability terms are in Section 14 of our Terms and Conditions. In summary:
No exclusion for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
No exclusion for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
No exclusion for any liability that can’t be limited by law
Otherwise, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of this site or your enrolment with us is limited to the course fee paid for the relevant course
We don’t accept liability for:
Loss of earnings while you’re on the course or post-graduation
Failure of your model to attend an assessment (if you’ve sourced your own model)
Loss or damage to personal property brought onto the premises
Outcomes of treatments delivered by third parties on premises or post-qualification
6. Testimonials, reviews, and student outcomes
Where this site or our marketing shows testimonials, reviews, or photographs of student work:
They reflect individual experiences — the named person’s actual outcome, not a typical or guaranteed result
Contributors are not paid and are not employees of HBC
We may edit submissions for grammar, clarity, or length but we don’t change their meaning
We don’t necessarily endorse every view a contributor expresses (reviews are someone’s opinion, not company position)
Photographs of student work are shown with the model’s signed photo consent, current at the date of capture
If you’ve contributed a review or photo and want it removed, email enrol@thehairandbeautycollege.co.uk with “Withdraw consent” in the subject line.
7. Third-party content and links
This site links to third parties — GOV.UK(loan applications, awarding-body checks), awarding bodies(VTCT, Focus Awards, The CPD Group), payment providers(Stripe, Payl8r, PayPal, Clearpay), mapping services(Google Maps), social media(Facebook, Instagram), and others.
Once you click through, you’re on their site and subject to their terms. We don’t:

Endorse every product, service, or piece of content on the third-party site
Guarantee third-party site availability or accuracy
Accept liability for loss caused by content or services on a third-party site
We pick our partners carefully and re-check them periodically, but the third-party relationship is ultimately between you and them.
8. Site availability and accuracy
We aim to keep the site available, accurate, and current — but:
The site may be unavailable for short periods for maintenance, upgrades, or after circumstances outside our control (hosting outage, cyber-attack, force majeure)
Course information(prices, dates, content) may change between scrapes of this page and your enquiry — the version we confirm at enrolment is the binding one
Statutory figures(Advanced Learner Loan threshold, GOV.UK rules) change periodically; we update as soon as we know, but always check GOV.UK for the most current figure before you make a financial decision
Awarding-body content(qualification numbers, syllabus details, certificate end dates) originates from VTCT, Focus Awards, and The CPD Group and may change without our notification
We don’t guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or virus-free — though we use industry-standard measures to reduce that risk.
