Our Story
Paula’s career took her straight into the spotlight. For several years, she was the trusted personal hair, make-up, and styling artist to some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Coleen Rooney, Alex Gerrard, Victoria Beckham, McFly, and Atomic Kitten. She created flawless looks for red-carpet events, including The MTV Awards, The MOBO Awards, The Brit Awards, and Children in Need, as well as multiple music video productions and high-profile appearances—all while working under intense pressure to deliver perfection every time.
The Journey
But Paula’s expertise went far beyond glamour. She spent years as a key stylist on major TV productions like Hollyoaks, Brookside, Emmerdale, and Footballers’ Wives, mastering creative, fast-paced environments. As a former columnist for Female First magazine, she shared insider beauty advice with thousands of readers, further cementing her reputation as an industry leader.
However, Paula noticed something troubling: talented students were leaving traditional beauty training with qualifications but struggling to secure jobs or build confidence in advanced treatments. She realised the industry needed better. The problem wasn’t the students—it was the training model itself. Traditional colleges prioritised theory over practice and volume over individual attention.
The Awards
Drawing on her experience running the multi-award-nominated salon Be@utopia—a thriving business she built and ran successfully—Paula launched The Hair and Beauty College in 2025 with a clear vision: small class sizes, real salon environments, and tutors who are active industry practitioners. From day one, the focus has been on practical mastery. Students spend more time with real clients and advanced equipment than in a classroom.
We’ve grown steadily because we stay true to that promise: every course is designed by people who still work in salons and clinics today. You don’t learn theory from someone who left the industry ten years ago—you learn from practitioners who know exactly what salons, spas, and clinics need right now.

Award-winning educator and advanced aesthetic practitioner with 25+ years at the top of the industry. Former personal hair, make-up & styling artist to Coleen Rooney, Victoria Beckham, McFly and Atomic Kitten, with red-carpet credits at the BRIT, MOBO and MTV Awards, plus seven years styling on Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and Footballers' Wives. Owner of the multi-award-nominated salon Be@utopia.
Lead injector and medical-aesthetics trainer. Managing Director of Advanced Aesthetics of London and co-founder of My Meno; former Lead INP for Transform Hospital Group and Regional Training INP (North) for Sk:n — training doctors, dentists and nurse prescribers in toxin, dermal fillers and advanced non-surgical procedures to CQC and NMC standards.
Beauty and aesthetics educator with 10+ years across private and public education, and owner of a thriving salon delivering advanced treatments. Delivers Level 2–6 qualifications to VTCT and Ofsted standards, specialising in advanced aesthetics, SPMU and practical assessment.
Barbering lecturer, course leader and IQA (West Lancashire & Bury Colleges), delivering City & Guilds and VTCT Level 2 & 3. Director-level barber at Voodou For Him, Liverpool, who previously built and branded the first gentleman's grooming barbers in Sri Lanka.
Beauty educator with 17 years spanning salon management, freelance work and running her own training academy. Delivers private and regulated qualifications with a focus on hands-on demonstration, learner engagement and employability.
