Entry requirements

We assess every applicant on their potential, not just their paperwork. Level 2 Barbering or equivalent is preferable but not essential — self-taught barbers, apprentices completing training off the job, and career-changers with a portfolio are all welcome. Applicants should be aged 19+ on the first day of the course. Access to a laptop or tablet is preferable, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start. How long is the course?

20 weeks of one college session per week. NVQ assessment runs throughout the course on real clients in our working barbershop, supported by witness testimony, video evidence where appropriate, written assignments, and an externally-set theory paper.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Pay in full by card or bank transfer, or spread the cost — in-house instalments (no interest, no credit check), interest-free splits via Clearpay or PayPal Pay in 3, or flexible monthly plans through Payl8r.

Are your courses accredited?

Yes. This is a VTCT-accredited Level 2 Diploma in Barbering, delivered at our centre in Warrington.

What career support do you provide?

You’ll graduate as a senior barber with a working portfolio and the option to progress into shop ownership, mobile work, brand ambassadorship, education, or onward to Level 4 master barbering. The NVQ designation carries the credibility employers and shop owners look for.

Do I need my own kit?

No — all the equipment and products you need are provided in-house, so there’s nothing to buy to get started. It’s preferable to have access to a laptop or tablet, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start.
