What this form is for. This enrols you onto your course and starts your funding application. We use it to register you with your awarding body (VTCT or Focus Awards), confirm your eligibility for the Advanced Learner Loan, and set up your learner record. It takes about 10 minutes — please have your photo ID and National Insurance number to hand before you start.

ID verification

We need to verify your identity to register you with VTCT or Focus Awards, as required by your awarding body. Your ID is stored securely and used only for enrolment paperwork.

A passport is the only ID accepted for the Advanced Learner Loan. If you do not have one, you will need to bring your original birth certificate to your induction — we also have to send this to the funder for their checks, so please let us know in advance by phone or at induction, as it can take longer to process.

Please bring the original document with you on the first day of your course so we can verify it in person — this applies whichever ID you use.
