Frequently asked questions
Entry requirements
We assess every applicant on their potential, not just their paperwork. Level 2 Hairdressing is preferable but not essential — equivalent industry experience, a strong portfolio, or a working stylist’s track record can be just as valuable. Applicants should be aged 19+ on the first day of the course. Access to a laptop or tablet is preferable, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start. Get in touch for a friendly chat about your background.
How long is the course?
20 weeks of one college session per week, plus a mandatory minimum of 6 weekend salon sessions on real, paying clients from Week 5 onwards. Learners can attend more sessions if they need extra practice or want to build a deeper portfolio before they finish.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Pay in full by card or bank transfer, or spread the cost — in-house instalments (no interest, no credit check), interest-free splits via Clearpay or PayPal Pay in 3, or flexible monthly plans through Payl8r.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes. This is a VTCT-accredited Level 2 Certificate in Women’s Hairdressing, delivered at our centre in Warrington.
What career support do you provide?
You’ll graduate with a portfolio of advanced cuts, colours and styling services on real clients, plus the consultation and business skills to work in high-street and boutique salons, freelance, mobile, or chair-rental settings. We also support progression to specialist or higher-level qualifications such as advanced cutting, colouring, hair extensions, assessor awards, or salon management.
Do I need my own kit?
No — all the equipment and products you need are provided in-house, so there’s nothing to buy to get started. It’s preferable to have access to a laptop or tablet, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start.
