Frequently asked questions
Entry requirements
We assess every applicant on their potential, not just their paperwork. A Level 2 make-up or beauty qualification is preferable but not essential — a strong personal portfolio, transferable skills, or industry experience can be just as valuable. Applicants should be aged 19+ on the first day of the course. Access to a laptop or tablet is preferable, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start. Get in touch for a friendly chat about your background.
How long is the course?
8 weeks of one college session per week. Practical work runs throughout the course, supported by photographed look documentation, written assignments, online theory exams set by VTCT Skills, and a portfolio of evidence.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Pay in full by card or bank transfer, or spread the cost — in-house instalments (no interest, no credit check), interest-free splits via Clearpay or PayPal Pay in 3, or flexible monthly plans through Payl8r.
Are your courses accredited?
Yes. This is a VTCT-accredited Level 2 Certificate in Cosmetic Make-Up, delivered at our centre in Warrington.
What career support do you provide?
You’ll graduate ready for freelance bridal and fashion work, retail counter senior roles, TV/film/photographic assistant work, and your own mobile or studio MUA business. Strong progression base into specialised SFX, period, or theatrical make-up training.
Do I need my own kit?
No — all the equipment and products you need are provided in-house, so there’s nothing to buy to get started. It’s preferable to have access to a laptop or tablet, so you can complete your enrolment online before you start.
